Letting Go of Control

Written by Mathew Naismith

This particular post could assist a lot of people who meditate or wish to meditate or anyone who just simply wants their mind to let go. You will learn to let go of control, including your own control over your mind, before meditating. The way mindfulness meditation is often taught in the west is to take control of the mind first and foremost. In the east, one firstly let's go of control to meditate as meditation is about releasing the mind of control, not controlling the mind to meditate mindfully.

For me, learning to let go of control is far more beneficial than meditation, especially mindful meditation where you have to take control of your mind. So many people can't meditate and/or don't feel comfortable with meditating, so just letting go, especially of control, might be their thing. However, if you are a control freak, as the author of the bellow article admits to, letting go of control, which also means letting go of being controlling as well of your own mind, might be just as daunting as meditation. I loved this author's self-honesty by the way, very rare these days.

Extract: "I’ve noticed that things go much more smoothly when I give up control—when I allow them to happen instead of making them happen. Unfortunately, I’m terrible at this."

"Surrender literally means to stop fighting. Stop fighting with yourself. Stop fighting the universe and the natural flow of things. Stop resisting and pushing against reality."

If you read the article above, you should have a better idea what letting go of control is all about, making for a more fruitful (beneficial) meditation and life period.

Letting go of being controlling can be as daunting as letting go of being controlled, in actuality, they are the same thing. We might think that by taking control, we are being controlled less. It matters not what is taking control, you or another force, it is still control that is in control. Usually, the only reason to take control is because we were being controlled. A fear of being controlled has fearfully made us take control. Fear has created a circumstance where we feel we need to take control instead of being controlled. This depicts that fear, an ego in control, is in control, nothing else.

Also, try not to think of it as them or me taking control, in other words try not to separate one energy from another taking control. It matters not what energy source that is controlling you, it is still control. We often separate them from ourselves, thus creating an environment of control of one over the other. "It is me, a positive, taking control, not them, a negative, taking control." I am also into oneness which gives me more of a one energy perception rather than numerous energies. Once you separate consciousness or energy period like this, one part of consciousness or energy will want to be more controlling. This is why I try to stay away from the perceptions of negatives and positives which is the dividing of energy, not a union of energy. One always desires to control and dominate the other.

I actually have no need to meditate these days. I can at any moment get into a state where my mind isn't being controlled or controlling, a state where 99.9% of the time a just simply smile. Yes, I allow my mind to wonder but this wondering isn't to do with what is or isn't human, it is to do with everything as a whole. A pure state of awareness is known in Buddhism as nothingness, only because when all consciousness is observed as being in union and not separated, there is only energy, not energies. Once energy is observed like this, there is no motion to observe thus the ego has a perception of nothingness.

In the west, the separation of negatives and positives, the disunion of energy, has become predominantly popular, like taking control of our mind and life has. So many people are meditating on this bases, and any bases that makes the ego in control feel good. If any kind of control makes you feel good, what part of you do you think is making you feel good and in control? If we are honest with ourselves, we would see that it is the ego in control. What many seem to be doing is conditioning the ego to control, not conditioning or freeing the ego of and from control.

If you think control makes you feel powerful,
you have experienced a minuscule
of what exists to experience.

Freedom

Written by Mathew Naismith

I've decided to start another blog, mainly because this blog has been hacked into in regards to number of sections of the blog. I've also found out that I unfriended a number of people, this is not the case, the only place I have unfriended people is on Facebook.
I have received a couple of threats from other people outside my circle, I also know that certain family members of mine would also stoop to this kind of behaviour sadly enough.

People like myself wouldn't think of doing this kind of thing, this just shows us how different we are to these people, no wonder we no longer resonate with certain people. It wouldn't worry me if they destroyed my blogs completely, all it would show is how precise a number of my perceptions have been in regards to the different mentalities of this reality. Anyone of a different reality, will be ridiculed and abused from people of a more chaotically destructive reality, this is inevitable when one is still dealing with people of this kind of reality.

These people are hurting themselves, not me, but they obviously have no idea of this and this is sad, not for people like me but for them. I'm cool with these attacks and as I said, these attacks were inevitable. As my dream below shows, these attacks are a sign of change occurring, a change that is going to bring forth our truer being in the end. The end isn't oblivion, as we are fearfully being conditioned to, it's a salvation from a stupefied state of consciousness.

My new main blog is going to titled, " Freedom", this was influenced by the dream I had last night. The blog address is as follow.

Dream

I had quite an interesting dream last night.

The world was going to the pack, it was destroying itself from within. The people within my group started panicking, this was the end, there was no way out.

Even though things were getting worse, I stated that things were actually improving, in actuality the state of decay was a sign that things will improve before the end occurs. The end being of fear which the human race was being conditioned to, I knew this wasn't going to occur. Faith can indeed move mountains.

When approached by these people who were totally conditioned to the end, they spoke of being delivered through the end of the world as we know it. These people to our group seemed stupefied like zombies.

I then looked them straight in the eye and showed them their truer self. It was like switching on  a light switch, all of a sudden they became aware of their truer being, they no longer acted like zombies.

Within this one group of zombie like people, once one changed, they soon all changed their disposition that was no longer based on fear.

At the end of the dream, all I could hear was singing.......

The singing at the end of the dream was incredible, it sounded as if all of mankind came together as one after a tumultuous battle against fear, it was really beautiful.

Setting Ourselves Free

Written by Mathew Naismith

We so often take on other people's intolerance and nonacceptance to heart when we should just set it free, I see this so often, it's utterly traumatising to ourselves when we feel we can't be truly expressive of our true feelings and our truer self without upsetting others. The point is we should never take on other people's short comings and ignorance too seriously and personally, that is their dilemma not ours but we so often allow this to also traumatise us and become our dilemma.

I don't usually do this, I have shared two emails in this post in the hope this might help others out there who are being traumatised because they feel awkward in expressing their true feeling and truer self to the extent of traumatising themselves.

I had a concerning email from a friend of mine who has a gay friend who is having trouble expressing himself to the extent of committing suicide, he wants to show his more sensitive feminine side but is unable seemingly because of the non-acceptance of others around him of being this expressive. Sadly enough this has made him non-accepting of his expression as well to some extent.

I really hope the following will help others see that we should never accept other people's dilemma's because they are so un-accepting, this is their dilemma and loss not ours, in other words it's their path not ours so try not to take on their dilemma's.

G'day Brad

You don't know me personally but I'm very good friends with Peta to the extent that Peta shared her worries with me in relation to you, she doesn't usually do this which showed me how much she cares about you. You are a very lucky man to have such a sensitive person as Peta who cares so much.

I'm ostracised from my family because I am different to them in numerous ways, this is there problem and loss not mine, I will no longer linger on this and I feel you need to do the same Brad. Just be your feminine self, set it free my friend and don't allow other people who don't understand influence you to do otherwise.

I should point out that I'm a little wacky like Peta but I'm more into the science of spirituality.

To be open and truthful with you, I have also inserted the email I sent to Peta concerning you, please don't take offence, Peta and I are very expressive of our sensitive self which makes us very caring of others.

Love and best wishes my friend,
Mathew

G'day Peta

Brad: Brad has a right arm that is feminine and a left arm that is masculine, most blokes have a right arm that is masculine.

I will explain myself: The right or left arm represent the right left brain, a person who is "left-brained" is often said to be more logical, analytical, and objective, while a person who is "right-brained" is said to be more intuitive, thoughtful, and subjective.

You can see why blokes are more likely to actually express logical objective thinking processes, the arms and hands represent a physical expression of logics in there case where women physically express a more intuitive subjective expression. The hands are indeed a doorway to our soul.

I feel Brad is trying to reject his right arm left brain thinking for a left arm right brain thinking, this isn't going to work for a sensitive person especially if one is right handed.

He needs to accept his sensitive side which in his case is the right arm, his left logical objective brain instead of going off half cocked with too much subjective thinking.

I feel there is absolutely no balance at all between the famine and masculine side of him, he needs to totally disregard anyone else's opinion in this case and be himself, be that sensitive left brain person. He needs to express it a lot more and stop repressing it to suite others, give it it's freedom to be expressive.

If you like, I don't mind meeting Brad one on one if you think this will help.
