Human
Conscious: Yes, human consciousness, as of
everything of the universe, evolved from the creation of the universe, therefore, all consciousness
that has evolved from the creation of the universe, is limited to the
limitation of the universe itself. One of the main limitations being mass which
define how a conscious is going to perceive itself, for example, physical
existence has to be of mass representing solid form. I do believe myself that
physical form is not limited to mass, in actuality, physical form quite happily
exists without mass and so does consciousness. Ghosts/spirits are a prime
example of physical existence beyond mass.
Let's just focus on our own planet, were
has human conscious evolved from? Micro-organisms, as the links below show,
human DNA is closely linked to miro-organisms, in actually, it is
scientifically known that humans evolved from these micro-organism/bacteria.
Each evolutionary stage created a different biological conscious form from
micro-organisms.
At the stage of the micro-organism, our
consciousness wasn't aware of it's own existence, as our consciousness evolved
over millions of years from ape, homo-erectus/Neanderthal to homo-sapiens, we
became more and more aware of our own existence. I should point out that
scientifically, humans are defined as being human from the stage of
homo-erectus, before this stage, our conscious was known to be more ape like.
I think what I have mentioned so far tells
us we are not just this human consciousness. Humans on this planet have evolved
from a conscious that was so unconscious of it's existence, it's hard to
realise that this was our consciousness at one stage until we evolved, the
strange thing is that not all of a species will evolve, for example,
micro-organisms and apes still exist as they have always done. Each stage of
evolution sprouted a more aware consciousness from micro-organisms to
homo-sapiens, this conscious change also created a new species as consciousness
itself evolved. We so often figure that biological evolution, which changes one
form to another like ape to humans, creates a conscious awakening, we don't
think that, maybe, conscious awaking automatically creates a new species, you than
have to wonder where human conscious will go from here!!
In actuality, like other forms of
consciousness, humans are also limited to how conscious they become before
biological changes take effect, as of any species on this planet, human
consciousness has it's limitations,
anything beyond these human limitations won't be human or known as human in
years to come, evolution and science tell us this but so does spirituality.
Extract:
Conscious
evolution refers to the
claim that humanity has acquired the ability to choose what the species Homo sapiens becomes in the future, based on recent
advancements in science, medicine, technology, psychology, sociology, and
spirituality. Conscious evolution assumes that human beings may be positioned
at the crest of the ongoing evolution of the universe.
It has loose connections to integral theory, Spiral Dynamics,
and noosphere thought. It is also sometimes
connected to the theory of the global brain or collective consciousness.
Writers and thinkers on conscious evolution include Ervin Laszlo, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and Andrew Cohen. Tobias Tripler made some important contributions in
his widely appraised treatise "Common Sense and other Things Mankind has
not yet achieved", Fnord, 1991.
Conscious evolution suggests that humanity can choose
advancement through co-operation and co-creation or self-destruction through
separateness and competition.
Conscious Form: We
might think that bacteria for instance can't be referred to as a conscious form
as bacteria has no consciousness of itself, therefore, we can't refer to
bacteria as a conscious form. Being that I believe the universe having been
created by a consciousness, everything within this consciousness is of this
consciousness therefore is of consciousness but not necessarily conscious of
it's own existence. Just because a conscious form isn't aware of itself,
shouldn't mean it's not of this consciousness, only a consciousness
predominantly influenced by the ego would state this.
There are
neuroscientists who believe a form of consciousness exists within everything,
there are also scientists who believes this universe was created by a
consciousness!!
It's
obvious we weren't created from human consciousness and that we are not going
to stay limited to human consciousness, well, some of us anyway. As the history
of the earth shows us, not all forms of a species will evolve.
What I
haven't mentioned here is the influences from other conscious forms have had
upon us on this planet, but also, the influences of other kinds of
consciousness upon thus universe from outside of this universe. We are anything
but human consciousness, human consciousness is likened to a grain of sand on a
beach when considering consciousness as a whole.
Humans
are seemingly lucky, the ego strives them on to evolve, to gain knowledge and
awareness for without the ego, human consciousness just wouldn't exist,
however, we must ask ourselves, is it not more spiritual to be a humble
micro-organism or an ego driven human? Humans strive for awareness and
knowledge of their being like no other species, how many different forms of
knowledge do humans have today to fulfill this hunger? This is another reason
why human consciousness is limited, it's limited itself to fulfill the ego in
one sense or another, human consciousness is basically a pure expression of
ego, not much else.
So does this mean we don't become aware?
The human
lust for becoming more aware of itself is only one way of becoming aware, just
being is another. Just being means sitting in quietness listening to yourself
void of the influences of the ego as much as possible, within this, all of what
you are will be known without one seeking. This however doesn't mean we
shouldn't seek awareness and knowledge, if we have a deeper inner feeling for a book or a workshop, for example, we should
follow on up with these feelings as long as these feelings are not
predominately ego influenced. In all, if we won't to naturally evolve, we need
to go past any limitations a species has, including humans, for one of their
greatest limitations is the ego being predominantly influential on their entire
existence. As I have stated though, not all humans will evolve, this is the way
evolution works.
We must
also remember, as we are not predominantly of human consciousness, we are also
not of the universes evolutionary stages, we go way beyond any universes
influences, however, there is nothing wrong with being unaware of our own
existence either, if there was, everything else but our own consciousness would
be inferior to our consciousness but this just isn't the case.
