We are very well conditioned to thinking and perceiving in
time and it’s nearly impossible to think in any other way for us, this I believe
is mainly due to centuries of this conditioning to time. To a lot of people
there can’t possibly be any other way to perceive and think, thinking and perceiving
in time is all there is. With this
perception we believe there has to be a start and end point to everything,
everything, including pure consciousness (God), has to have been created by something
else. This is where just perceiving in time fails us I believe.
This intelligent pure consciousness, that some of us call God,
I predict isn’t influenced or hindered by such perceptions mainly because this consciousness
isn’t of time.
Below I’ve added a
link and my reply to a person concerning this matter of thinking and perceiving
only in time on a spiritually orientated site hoping this will explain things a
little better for you.
Karnati Kiran….Who is creating the energy?
G'day Karnati.......It's not a who or what, it just is, it's
very hard for humans to accept it just is without questioning however the who I
would define as the intelligent consciousness some of us call God.
The thing is, why does
everything have to have a start & end point of origin, why couldn't it have
always been?
We live in time so we
perceive by this time, what if this intelligent consciousness isn't influenced
by time? Nothing has a start or end point of origin, it has always existed but
only as pure consciousness.
Time to me is a
fragmentation of this pure consciousness & once you fragment consciousness
you have a start & end point of creation. Timelessness to me is of pure
non-fragmented consciousness with no start or end point of origin.
It's very difficult to
think & perceive in timelessness especially if one is conditioned to just
thinking & perceiving in time.
It feels utterly strange to me that we are only conditioned and
trained to think and perceive in time as we know it, how many other people are feeling this I
wonder!!
Only a Yogi can tell you about soul. None of us can conceive anything about soul. But it is correct that souls do not die, and therefore is not an object of nature. All objects of nature has birth, maturity, and death. But souls have none of these states. That is why the soul is eternal. But I think Veda talks about their beginning and ending also. But I did not spend enough time to understand it. And also it is not clear from Veda. Veda is written by very high level yogis. They have not explained anything in details. So, outside their text nothing can be explained. I have discussed some of its contents related to soul, in the soul theory chapter of the book. When we visit that chapter we will discuss that. At this point it will be baseless. We have just learnt Yogis, but we need to learn, Reincarnation, and then Destiny. Only then we may be able to get some feeling about the nature of Truth. But as I have always said, you and I cannot define the truth. Also without proof nothing should be accepted as truth.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, the soul isn't of time, it exists in time but it's not of time therefore it's eternal.
DeleteHi Mathew,
ReplyDeleteI have just read the answer given by anonymous. My thought would be this, that yogi are very knowledgeable but that the concept that there is a beginning and end to soul is erroneous., in my opinion. There is a beginning and an end to being a spirit, spirit is our connection to the human being we are, while we are living. When we finish being human there is no more need for spirit. Spirit is individual soul is omnipresence.
Just thought I would throw that thought out there.
As usual there is no absolute truth! :)

DeleteI agree with you believe it or not, because while these separate souls, or consciousness's, exist in time, they have a start and ending point which I believe is determined by a souls experience. The more a soul experiences, the more the souls energy flow changes until it becomes one with the eternal single soul of timelessness, of God's consciousness.
This bloke anonymous is from India, we were having quite a good discussion until I found out he thinks he is speaking absolute truth, he doesn't want to know their is one consciousness. To me this is fine but it's pointless discussing anything with someone who is this absolute within he's convictions. He doesn't even seem to want to consider that there is one consciousness sadly enough.
I do believe that everything has always existed and will always exist but not in time, time has a start and ending point. I view that God's consciousness isn't of time, it's timeless, it's a consciousness that isn't defined by time so it has no starting or ending point, it's eternal. Everything has been created from this consciousness that has always existed, this means everything, including separate souls, have always existed but only as God's consciousness, it hasn't taken form because only through time can anything of God's consciousness take form.
Once this consciousness take form, it's of time and has a starting and ending point as of everything of time. This means souls, separate to the eternal soul of timelessness, have a cut off point, most probably when they become one again with this God's consciousness.
I have never been absolute within my truth, adamant at times yes but never absolute, especially when we live in a fragmented consciousness of fragmented truths, no one what so ever can be of absolute truth within time. There is however nothing wrong with being adamant within our convictions as long as we know we can never speak of being absolute within our truths. You and I are like this I believe.
Much Blessings,
Mat
Hi Mathew,
DeleteWhen it comes to beliefs I believe there is no right or wrong. Truth comes from within, it is not knowledge that we can learn, it comes from an inner knowing. As we are all evolving differently this truth is always going to be different for everyone.
We can only know what we know, what we know depends on a lot of factors, religion, culture, etc etc.
We have not always agreed with each other but if we had stopped our discussions because of our disagreements, look at all the learning we would have missed. :)
I truly believe that everyone we meet has something to teach us even if we are not aware of it at the time.

DeleteIndeed, I love to here other people's perspectives even when they seem in opposition to mine, how else do we expand on our awareness. Could you imagine only becoming aware of what goes along with our own truths, we truly wouldn't become very aware.
Much Blessings,
Mat
