Yin and Yang Ego

Written by Mathew Naismith

Buddhism relates all suffering to the ego as all suffering can only be created through the ego mind. Looking around our present environment today, it's difficult to refute this claim, however, this doesn't make the ego bad or negative, just simply unaware especially in regards to a controlling ego. As soon as we see the ego as being bad or negative in some way, this is a good indication of the ego mind in control. Simply look at the ego as an unaware state, state that is unaware of what it is apart of as a whole.

Indeed, ego simply means a state of existence experienced that is unaware of it's own connection to all else, and the more controlling the ego mind is, the less aware a state of consciousness naturally becomes. I say natural because it's quite natural for an ego in control to be unaware, this is it's natural state, the trick is, the ego mind controlled by the ego, not just of the ego mind, won't want to see this state as being natural. What controlling ego desires to be of a natural state of unawareness? An ego in control will often deceive itself; this is why this state is naturally in a state of unawareness.

Yin and yang are good representations of the ego mind or ego self. In balance with each other, they are only of the ego, in imbalance, they are of the a controlling ego, One always trying to control the other while refuting that is it apart of the other or connected to the other in some way. For example, how often do the rich disconnect themselves from the poor? The controlling ego mind always tries to disconnect itself from the other; of course this disconnection naturally makes this kind of conscious state unaware for obvious reasons.

Yin and yang working in perfect balance naturally creates awareness, this is because this balance creates a union of one working as one. Within this union, there is no yang or yin trying to control the other, in turn naturally creating a state of awareness.

How often do we try to separate ourselves from duality and only see our truer being as a non-dual state of existence or being? Even though a non-dual state and a dual state of existence represents yin and yang, our controlling ego mind still only sees our truer being as being non-dualistic thus separation from the other has occurred. How aware is a non-dualistic state of a dualistic state? It's simply not, as soon as a non-dualistic state becomes aware of a dualistic state, it's become dualistic in nature.

Simply, the ego in control deceives us to think we are non-dualistic when all the time we are dualistic in nature. In saying this, I do think we can enter into non-dualistic states which often give us the perception that we are of this non-dualistic state and not truly also of a dualistic state. As of yin and yang, one is of the other; all that the perception of separation creates is an unawareness that naturally creates suffering and destructiveness.

I had an interesting conversation with a lass from Great Britain recently, I will finish off this post with this conversation.

My Reply
Fear should always be faced face on to see it for what it truly is, a hollow apparition/phantom. Fear to me is simply a consciousness's unawareness of what truly is. Only an unaware consciousness can be and create a reality of fear based perceptions. Sounds awfully familiar sadly enough, we simply don't have to be this way, we certainly have a choice in my mind.

As like not perceiving/judging everything negative that is not of our own beliefs and perceptions, we should also try to see fear in a neutral light as our perceptions of fear being negative gives it it's control over us. This is why some people of love and light have gone way too far with love and light; everything else not of love and light is a negative. A true sense of love and light is to perceive everything as love and light, this simply isn't the case for most people it would seem.

People like me are more for the middle ground with no extremes, a totally neutral reality where all things are truly created and treated as equals, a true sense of balance. No extremes of light and dark, love and hate, will bring balance, there is simply no equilibrium with to and fro actions and counteractions between love and light, hate and dark.

Can love and light create a reality of love and light? For the individual or (a) collective consciousness, yes, most definitely, but it's still not a reality of a true sense of balance as each extreme reality creates it's opposite somewhere in the (whole) collective consciousness.

To a lot of people of love and light, love has no opposite, even when the opposite of hate is love. It's like extracting the yang from the yin and still calling it balance between yin and yang while extracting the yang from the yin altogether, a lot of people are simply fooling themselves here.

The reason for this, to me, is that these people have only gone part way in the awareness process, this one part of the awareness process feels good so this must be the be and end all. When you sit back from everything and observe it without bias, everything is neutral; this is until a consciousness perceives it otherwise, usually in retaliation to something the controlling ego doesn't desire like our present situation in the world for example.

Sorry, you started me off again; some people just have a knack of getting it to flow with me. When I converse with someone else who is also neutral in one sense or another, this brings forth the neutrality within me. Just imagine if everyone was neutral, we just simply wouldn't have a problem in the world, we would reflect off each other beautifully in relative perfect balance.

Everything just is. Duality is in fact the whole.
Recently I have observed others talking about separation and encouraging others not to be divisive, which is a fundamental part of increasing consciousness.
However, as you have so eloquently articulated, the end point is Love and Light for them. What they don't realise is that by not embracing the whole, the light, the dark, the shadow, the love - as One , then they are living a life of separation on another level.
It is easy to write these words but a whole different matter living by these terms.

My Reply
Indeed, duality actually represents the whole. Imagine being of non-duality, an unawareness of the duality within the whole, how aware and whole are we then? In-effect, a non-dual state is all about separation and unawareness, separating itself from duality, the yang if you like. It's like being just of this light and love, how aware (enlightened) are you truly? You're simply not. It's good to see someone else who tries not to allow the controlling ego to control them; the ego desires one or the other as always.

London Terrorist Attack!!

Written by Mathew Naismith

Are we truly serious about stopping terrorism in the world?

If we had our hands tied and the rest of the world was against us, we wouldn't just sit there and take it, we would lash out and even embrace extremism to fight this kind of tyranny/terrorism.

In recent times, a US backed coalition force declared war on Iraq under false pretences; of course it didn't take long for the pilfering of oil to occur in Iraq.

At present, oil and gas from the Syrian war is being pilfered.

I'm not sure if this is true. I read that Syria has been bombed more than Iraq and Afghanistan put together by Coalition backed forces.

What about what is occurring in Palestine, the rest of the world is just sitting back and doing nothing about all this. How would we feel ourselves, as a collective people, being subjected over many centuries to this kind of endless tyranny/terrorism?

If you know your human history, you would realise how long we have terrorised and pilfered the countries of these people. How many ancient artefacts from the Middle East are owned by the Western world for starters?

Are we serious about stopping terrorism, even the terrorism that we are being subjected to? The answer is too obvious, it's simply no.

If we were serious, would we not at least try to stop the pilfering and terrorising of Middle Eastern countries? We are simply not serious about stopping terrorism, this is too obvious.

What has occurred in England in the past days is simply shocking, what is ironical, is it just simply needn't have happened to begin with.

Now we would no doubt make out that we wouldn't stoop to this kind of terrorism!!

For starters, allowing these countries to be terrorised, especially under false pretences, is a terrorist act itself. Sitting back not doing anything about our own collective people terrorising and pilfering other countries is a terrorist act, it's this simple.

Also, what about the atrocities carried out by our own soldiers on the enemy in the wars in the last hundred years? If you know your history, you would realise how horrific these crimes were and are. We are not talking about people who had their hands tied or were being terrorised and had their countries pilfered over many centuries, we are simply talking about soldiers who have had enough.

There is no doubt that everyone who doesn't speak out about our own terrorist acts is in fact a terrorist themselves. Middle Eastern people are simply attacking their enemy, an enemy who is simply looking the other way in ignorance of their own terrorist acts. We, the people in the West, have the power to stop terrorism, because we don't, we have all become a terrorist and an enemy of terrorism. We in fact have created the terrorism of today which simply needn't have existed in the first place.

My New Main Blog Address

I wish to tell my reader that I have a new main blog address, I will no longer be posting any new posts on this blog, all new posts will be posted on the following link, sorry for the inconvenience.

Written by Mathew Naismith

I've decided to start another blog, mainly because this blog has been hacked into in regards to number of sections of the blog. I've also found out that I unfriended a number of people, this is not the case, the only place I have unfriended people is on Facebook.
I have received a couple of threats from other people outside my circle, I also know that certain family members of mine would also stoop to this kind of behaviour sadly enough.

People like myself wouldn't think of doing this kind of thing, this just shows us how different we are to these people, no wonder we no longer resonate with certain people. It wouldn't worry me if they destroyed my blogs completely, all it would show is how precise a number of my perceptions have been in regards to the different mentalities of this reality. Anyone of a different reality, will be ridiculed and abused from people of a more chaotically destructive reality, this is inevitable when one is still dealing with people of this kind of reality.

These people are hurting themselves, not me, but they obviously have no idea of this and this is sad, not for people like me but for them. I'm cool with these attacks and as I said, these attacks were inevitable. As my dream below shows, these attacks are a sign of change occurring, a change that is going to bring forth our truer being in the end. The end isn't oblivion, as we are fearfully being conditioned to, it's a salvation from a stupefied state of consciousness.

My new main blog is going to titled, " Freedom", this was influenced by the dream I had last night. The blog address is as follow.

I had quite an interesting dream last night.

The world was going to the pack, it was destroying itself from within. The people within my group started panicking, this was the end, there was no way out.

Even though things were getting worse, I stated that things were actually improving, in actuality the state of decay was a sign that things will improve before the end occurs. The end being of fear which the human race was being conditioned to, I knew this wasn't going to occur. Faith can indeed move mountains.

When approached by these people who were totally conditioned to the end, they spoke of being delivered through the end of the world as we know it. These people to our group seemed stupefied like zombies.

I then looked them straight in the eye and showed them their truer self. It was like switching on  a light switch, all of a sudden they became aware of their truer being, they no longer acted like zombies.

Within this one group of zombie like people, once one changed, they soon all changed their disposition that was no longer based on fear.

At the end of the dream, all I could hear was singing.......

The singing at the end of the dream was incredible, it sounded as if all of mankind came together as one after a tumultuous battle against fear, it was really beautiful.

Existence Before Consciousness

Written by Mathew Naismith

It's an interesting perception that consciousness always has to be a creation from  existence, basically meaning, before consciousness can exist, an existence has to exist prior to a consciousness becoming aware of an existence of existence itself. It's this existence that creates consciousness, not consciousness creating an existence of some kind. All this means is everything has always existed, it's just consciousness has to become aware of this existence for a consciousness to acknowledge a particular existence.

Actually, consciousness itself has also always existed, it's just that consciousness isn't aware of this until it becomes aware of it's own consciousness. You could say that primary existence is existence itself, while secondary existence is an action or motion of a consciousness becoming aware of existence. It's this motion that creates a consciousness to become aware, this is secondary existence. You might find the following, from other sources, interesting if you can follow what I mean here.

Extract: The primacy of existence states the irrefutable truth that existence is primary and consciousness is secondary. Consciousness is the faculty which perceives and identifies existence (things that exists). For two reasons we say that existence is primary, that consciousness requires existence, and that there is no consciousness without existence.

Extract: Using the three primary axioms as our starting point, it is deduced that an objective, absolute reality exists independent of our consciousness. Things exist as they are and things exist with a specific identity. Moreover, consciousness cannot alter reality; it is merely our faculty of awareness.

It's quite obvious that we are not aware of our whole existence, this is because human consciousness is too limited within it's own limitations to become aware, even of it's own whole existence. How many people throughout time have tried to consciously alter our human reality? We are still trying to do this today which of course has had no effect, this is because we are primarily relying on a consciousness to alter our reality, a consciousness that  limited to certain limitations. We are talking about a consciousness that isn't even aware of it's whole self. As of all consciousness's, human consciousness is primarily of secondary existence, a consciousness that is in actuality unfamiliar with it's whole being.

Yes, while conducting  research on primary existence after writing about primary and secondary existences, I've come to the understanding that all that consciousness denotes, is a secondary existence, a consciousness in a secondary existence becoming aware of existence that has always existed. You then realise why many people state that our truer being or self is nothingness, it's timeless, spaceless and motionless, in actuality to a consciousness, this is going to seem like a total non-existence. Of course as soon as a consciousness is aware of this non-existence, it too exists, basically, a non-existence can't exist to a consciousness.

So if all of what consciousness is of secondary existence, what is primary existence of if not of a consciousness?

The primary existence doesn't need a consciousness to become aware of it's own whole existence, it actually becomes aware of it's own existence through secondary existences. The primary existence exists for the primary purpose of secondary existences, how could a secondary existence exist void of a primary existence? Basically, the primary existence is to serve secondary existences as does existence itself serves consciousness. Could you imagine being conscious if nothing existed in the first place, including consciousness itself? As of yin and yang in balance, primary and secondary existences exist in balance because of the other.

Primary Existence = non-consciousness + infinite existence

Secondary Existence = consciousness + finite existence

This is why consciousness itself is unable to alter a course of a reality, even though a certain reality was seemingly created by a certain kind of consciousness. What is occurring, or more precisely, what consciousness is becoming aware of, has always existed, this is the path of that consciousness and reality. Yes, change the consciousness that is becoming aware, you change your destiny but you don't actually change the reality or the consciousness within that reality. By changing your destiny or path, you change your reality but you don't change the consciousness with a reality. The reason for is to do with that the consciousness of a reality has always existed, you can't change something that has always and always will exist, however, you can change your own consciousness that isn't of this kind of reality.

This is why so many spiritual practices get us to think more of our primary existence, only through this awareness can we change our own destiny or path. You can't change this when primarily being of a secondary existence because conscious can't change a reality, all it can do is become aware of a reality that has always existed.

1/ OK, become aware or have some acknowledgment that everything has always existed, including this destructive reality.

2/ Become aware that you can't change a reality, all you can do is change from one reality to another reality.

3/ Know that consciousness can't change a reality, however, also know that consciousness can become aware of other realities that are of other kinds of consciousness's.

4/ Be aware that an awareness of your primary self, can change a reality you are presently experiencing, including this one we are presently experiencing. However in knowing this, know that this kind of reality will always exist, it's just your own consciousness will have become unaware/ignorant to it.

5/ Most importantly, know that you don't have to experience what your consciousness becomes aware of, this however is difficult to do when our own consciousness is primarily of a secondary existence. This is why a lot of spiritual practices condition you to be more of your primary existence, only in this can any real change be made.......

Spiritual Primary Objectives

Written by Mathew Naismith

We will certainly find ourselves in a different reality than what we are presently experiencing collectedly at times, this shows in the different ways we respond to various situation in our lives. We tend to behave differently  at times to situations that others around us also experience, this can feel isolating and alienating. Our response can also be misinterpreted by other people around us, most often in relation to their own responses, their perceptions have to be also of ours!!

We also need to be aware that other people's perceptions are not going to be ours either. It's obvious that we can exist in a different reality while experiencing the same collective reality, this is likened to that we have our own personal path to follow while experiencing the same collective human journey.

It's quite understandable that life, while experiencing quite a different path to the human journey, will become daunting to us at times. We will at times be subject to unjust ridicule and abuse, this is inevitable. It's like living as a Christian in an extremist Islamic region of the world, and yes, it can be this daunting at times, actually, for some people it can indeed be this frightening and isolating/alienating.

We can ourselves also become extreme within our judgment of other people following the human journey itself, just because our path might not be of the human journey, doesn't mean the human journey being followed by the mass is wrong or incorrect. We must remember, we are the one's deviating from the collective human journey, within this action, we should expect to be abused and ridiculed. However, the collective human journey is not fixated to a certain journey and yes,  everyone has a right to influence what path this collective human journey takes.

Individually, I've been abused and ridiculed, at times to the extreme, not just by strangers or friends, colleagues and acquaintances, but by family in particular only because I have chosen to follow a different path on my journey. Because I can instantly separate myself from other people's path's, including family members paths, I'm often labelled hateful and spiteful only because I no longer feel at home intermingled within their paths. My whole journey became a completely different path to theirs. You can actually liken this to a spiritualist who goes out to find their inner truer self, they most often separate themselves from friends and family. Within certain cultures in the world, this is accepted, in other cultures it's not.

I can be very close to people and instantly severe this closeness when my own path beckons me to. Yes, I have emotionally hurt certain people by being able to instantly separate myself from their present path, this is by no way intentional. I must, as we all should, follow our own path, this at times isn't always accepted by some people around us. This can't be helped when being true to yourself and following your own path and not being of someone else's path. My families path in particular became no longer of my own path, this was evident in the obvious difference between our paths. The difference between our paths became more and more evident as time went by, I was no longer comfortable or felt at home within their path for various reasons.

As they have become hateful or intolerant of me, I was also supposed to be of them, they perceived that I too was of their path still so I had to hate them but of course that couldn't be further from the truth. I simply no longer had no similarity with my families path, we were obviously going in quite different directions. When I instantly make a decision to separate myself from a path I no longer associate with, there is no malice or hate involved, it's a simple  decision to separate myself from a path that no longer belongs as a part of my path. My journey has become indifferent to the collective human journey, it's this simple but it is then easy to judge how wrong or negative the human collective journey is, this of course isn't the case.

Each journey has it's own paths to follow, as of each and every path, the journey itself has a reason to exist, it's worthy to the souls experiencing a particular journey, maybe not to us any more but it is to them.

This will no doubt seem cold hearted to some people, I can emotionally detach myself from anyone not of my path no matter who they are. I am not permanently fixated to anything through emotions, of course at times separation can be emotionally draining and upsetting for me, after all, separating oneself from someone's path isn't easy, especially when a lot of emotions are involved. As I become more of my primary self, truer inner self, I will indeed feel I no longer relate to a reality, a human journey, that is more of a secondary existence, an existence that is of anything but of it's truer being.

A secondary existence is all about motions. Our hair grows so we have to cut it, we get dirty so we have to wash, we go to work to earn money to survive in a world based purely on motion. A primary existence is anything but of this kind of motion, there is no need of motion to exist. Motion doesn't determine if something exists or not, motion, which all secondary existences are based on, only refers to expressions of motionlessness, motionlessness being of a primary existence. Basically, motions refer to an expression or movement of our motionless primary existence.

The reason why our truer being is associated with our primary existence, has to do with motion itself, as soon as our primary existence is expressed as motion in a secondary existence, these expressions become distorted. The reason for this lies entirely on that motion is created by an ignorance, to one degree or another, of our primary existence. How much motion today are we creating or expressing and how fast is time now seemingly going for us? Now how destructive have we become? Destruction relates directly to motion and how fast motion or time seems to be going, for an example, is a car going slow going to cause more damage when it crashes than going fast? Any energy going fast will cause more damage to anything in it's path than energy going at a slower pace.

Meditating is a prime example of how to slow down our own energy flows. When we meditate, we become more of our primary self, numerous other spiritual practices do the same. In a reality primarily of secondary existence (motion),  a balance of our other existence, the primary existence, is wise, especially when a secondary  existence becomes overly destructive, especially onto itself.

Primary Existence = motionlessness + slow or sedate energy flows

Secondary Existence =  motion + fast or chaotic energy flows

There is a distinct difference between writing
from experience, and writing from the knowledge of experience.
Wisdom is gained from direct experiences, not knowledge from experiences!!

Progression, Not Division

Written by Mathew Naismith

I had a personal good friend of mine read my latest post on primary existence and envelopment, my friend was confused in exactly what I meant in relation to a primary existence. I will within this post explain what I mean about primary existence in a different format as below.

Primary Existence = God, zero point, nothingness, oneness, truer self, Tao, higher self + egoless + undivided

Secondary Existence = Soul consciousness (reality), human consciousness (reality) + ego + divided

Primary Existence: It would seem strange to a lot of people that I made reference here to a primary existence in relation to, for example, a Christian God and a Buddhist principle of nothingness. It is most likely that people from each of these ideologies, would state there is nothing in common with a God and nothingness. To a Buddhist, the representation of a God is ego, nothingness is egoless, consequently, a Christian might state that God is nothingness, how in this case can the perception of God and nothingness relate to a primary existence but they do?

Primary existence relates to our whole self before it's divided into secondary existences,  each soul has it's own path so therefore is divided by individual paths. This division relates to secondary existences, actually, the motion of dividing automatically creates secondary existences. Basically, a primary existence is an existence that is undivided, it's all of everything or nothing of anything.

The relation to everything, as a perception of God or oneness for example, in a primary existence denotes an undivided existence, a whole or collective that is undivided. God represents everything therefore is undivided within itself. This is the same with nothingness, there is no division in nothingness. The Tao is exactly the same, there is no division, it's all and nothing, not all or nothing.

This is how we perceive, we perceive through the ego so it has to be one or the other. The ego in control can only comprehend anything if it's one or the other, so to the ego, everything can't be the same as nothing, even though everything and nothing represent an undivided existence. Of course to various ideologies, it has to be one or the other, everything being of the ego, nothing being of egoless in some cases.

The division or difference between Christianity and Buddhism for example, is an obvious illusion brought on by perceiving through the ego self for only the ego itself will divide. Christianity makes reference to a God, an undivided existence, Buddhism makes reference to nothingness, again an undivided existence. What about nothingness not even being an existence!! Only an ego in control would argue what is and isn't determined to be an existence or not, so I'm not going down this path to try to find a division for obvious reasons, I will leave this to the secondary existence ego control mind to sort this out. Of course it never truly will because all it would be doing is chasing it own tail to judging what is and isn't real, an illusion.

Being that the secondary existences are ego based, but not  necessarily egotistical based, the secondary perception is focused on division, this of course stands to reason because ego and souls represent division. Basically, anything that is obvious within it's division, is ego based, this in turn creates an ego based perceptions of divisions, not wholeness or oneness unlike a primary existence. The primary existence mind focuses on wholeness and oneness of everything as well as nothing, there are no divisions between one or the other, actually, there is no one or the other, just wholeness, oneness.

Yes, everything and nothing are exactly the same thing, it's just in a secondary existence mind, there has to be division, one or the other...!!

Primary Existence = (and)

Secondary Existence = (or)

Progressions: We might now think that there is a huge difference (division) between primary and secondary existences, they are obvious within their differences as I have clearly pointed out.

There is only a perceived difference, a division, in a secondary existence. When observing from a primary perspective, there are no divisions, only progressions. The secondary existence mind always puts limitations on everything, there has to be a division between one and the other, not a progression void of divisions and this is the point. How often do we focus on division instead of progressions void of actual divisions? There is an endless progression between primary and secondary existences, this motion is infinite. The motion between primary and secondary existences have always existed, what hasn't always existed is what these motion between the two existences create. The universe and human consciousness are prime examples of what this motion physically creates which are of course finite in nature.

Primary Existence= motionlessness + non-creative + infinite

Secondary Existence = motion + creative + finite

The perception of the Tao or the perception of God, actually relate to both the primary and secondary existences as being a whole, basically, the perception of God represents primary and secondary existences. As I have displayed earlier on, that God is of primary existence and not of secondary existence isn't quite correct, the perception of God relates directly to oneness, a whole. This means the perception of God relates to both primary and secondary existences. You can now see how Christians have the idea that God created everything and rightfully so in my mind.

Primary Existence = God + non-creative

Secondary Existence = God + creative

This is how we create in our own right while existing in a secondary existence, only in a secondary existence can creation begin, and yes, end. The strange thing in all this is, neither the secondary or primary is above or higher in stature than other, only an ego in control would be able to perceive this in this way, in other words, divide......!!
