Releasing Ourselves from Intentions

Written by Mathew Naismith

I was under my recently acquired pyramid with the intention in not having any intentions, I’m just going to go with the flow of things and then a voice entered my head, “You still have intentions, you haven’t let go of your intentions at all, only of the intentions of having an intention”.  I was dumbed founded and thought,” Of course I haven’t got any intentions; I’m just going with the flow of things”.

Again the voice entered my head and said, “If you didn’t have intentions you wouldn’t be here experiencing pain, discomfort and chaos, these things just wouldn’t exist for you unless you had intentions, you must let go completely otherwise you still have intentions”, and then it hit me, everyone is here experiencing this reality with an intention otherwise they wouldn’t be here. So the voice is telling me, to have no intentions one must let go completely of all intentions, this also includes the intentions of my soul, to let go of what my soul chose to experience through intentions.

This is saying to me that these experiences within this reality are created through intentions, the intentions of the soul; they are built upon an action and reaction process of existence so what is the point in letting go of these intentions?

Intentions are all about the push and pull effect, pushing something away to pull something else in and the more we do this the more chaos we create, in other words we are creating chaos through our intentions and the more intentions we have the more chaos we will create.  We have more intentions now than we ever have right throughout human history and we also have more chaos. Letting go of as many intentions as possible will in turn lesson the chaos in our lives it would seem.

Does this mean giving up what we have now, life itself as we know life to be? Yes in a sense, letting go of intentions is really letting go of a particular existence, a chaotic and sometimes destructive existence that our souls chose to experience, it’s not actually letting go of life itself but letting go of this particular life. So in letting go of our intentions aren’t we going against our souls chosen path? Not really, being aware of what our intentions create and changing what our intentions create is of the soul’s choice otherwise we wouldn’t become aware of what our intentions create in the first place, it’s a part of the path the soul chose in the first place to become aware of what intentions create.

You could think that there are no interactions while existing without intentions but that’s not completely true, it’s another way to exist that is very hard for us to gauge only because we are only aware of one way to exist these days and that’s with intentions. Like I said, man has more intentions now than he has ever had in known human history, we started off with few intentions like how and where is our food going to come from and where are we going to find shelter to protect ourselves from the elements?   We started off with very few intentions and created very little chaos in the process, we basically lived within our environment instead of dominating and changing our environment to suite our growing intentions.  We have basically forgotten how to live with the basics of intentions unlike the rest of the animal kingdom.

In my mind this is where religion especially western religion has gone astray, it’s been about power, control and intentions.

You could imagine living in an existence without intentions, there is absolutely no chaos, it’s pure bliss and harmony with all that exists around such existences.  The interactions change from being influenced by intentions to being influenced by existing without intentions. You don’t have to have intentions to interact, what happens is you interact without intentions, in other words you become one with the present moment and just exist within the flow instead of existing to change the flow, you become totally harmonious with all that is the way it is.

Time, a Very Precious Gift

Written by Mathew Naismith

Timeless Consciousness: There are many people within this conscious reality who don’t or can’t see how precious of a gift time is, it allows us to experience all of what consciousness is to start with but we have trouble seeing time as a gift. I think the reason for this has to do with the kind of consciousness we are existing under, it’s very divided and quite destructive but not all of the consciousness’s of time are this unbalanced, actually very few are especially to this extent.

What actually gives us a balanced consciousness, a balanced mentality to exit by? Our connectedness to a consciousness that is still, a consciousness that is motionless and a consciousness that has no divides or separation, a consciousness that is one with itself because there is no other self.  This consciousness is of course of timelessness for it’s this timeliness that gives this consciousness it’s stillness, this non-separateness of self and the more aware of this still  non-separated consciousness we become within time, the more balance this gives us within the consciousness’s  of time and the less destructive we become.

Religion: Yes religion has tried to reconnect us to this timeless consciousness and to a certain extent this works however if it wasn’t for the ego becoming so controlling, religion would have worked even better.  This controlling ego is quite apparent especially at present, the Middle East is a prime example and so is the child molesting’s within certain Christian religions. Once the people of a religion become disconnected from this timeless consciousness these people become destructive.

We are at present existing in a very destructive consciousness brought about by our disconnectedness to this timeless consciousness, any other more constructive consciousness is going to seem like heaven to us. More and more people are becoming aware and reconnecting to this timeless consciousness because it’s very appealing to us as it’s meant to be appealing to us.  The more of us that become reconnected the less destructive we will be within time, we don’t however have to disconnect ourselves from time altogether to bring forth a better more constructive consciousness to exist by, all we need to do is become aware of this timeless consciousness and by doing so we quite automatically become more connected .  Religion in my mind needs to un-focus on itself and focus more on this timeless consciousness.

Automatically Reconnecting: Would a more constructive consciousness within time need to focus so much on this timeless consciousness to bring balance within their consciousness, their mentality?  No, for the main reason they are already automatically connected to this timeless consciousness, they can then focus more on the consciousness’s of time expressing even more of what consciousness is.  They can live in an utterly heavenly like existence because all of their energy is put into the consciousness’s of time instead of timelessness.  However in my mind we do need to focus more on this timeless consciousness to bring balance within our existence in time, once we have done this, we will quite automatically bring balance back again within our consciousness, our mentality . I do indeed believe we can achieve a heavenly like existence for all if we become less ignorant and more aware of this consciousness of timelessness, surely it can’t be this easy?

Intentions: Because everything is consciousness there is no push and pull involved here or there shouldn’t be, there is no action reaction which just causes more reactions. This is why by just becoming aware without an intention works, you become aware without pushing anything away to become aware and because everything is consciousness, just becoming aware without pulling in this awareness works. I know it’s difficult to see that everything is consciousness especially at first but once you realise this you can begin to become aware without intentions.

It is also difficult to become aware of this consciousness, especially of the consciousness of timelessness, without an intention, “I need become aware because of my/our predicament”.  This is an intention which causes an effect, a reaction which will cause even further reaction thus adding to our predicament not taking away from it. This is why some prayers, meditations, chanting and so on work when others don’t, the more intention we have while practicing in these spiritual practices the more we are actually adding to our predicaments.

This is why a good meditation is about thoughtlessness, there is no intention because we are not in thought.  The trick with meditation is to not have an intention to enter into a thoughtless mode to start with, allow your mind to just flow and go with the flow of thought and after a while you will quite automatically be within this thoughtless mode.

In all it’s all about how we are becoming reconnected to this still non-separated consciousness of timelessness, if we do it with intentions, we will not in my mind succeed at totally reconnecting but if we do it without an intention, I think all will be fine within this precious gift of consciousness of time.  There is nothing better and magical than bringing balance to a consciousness including our own, it’s quite exhilarating.

Focussing Our Intention.

Now & again I will come across a post that sticks out for me mainly only because I resonate with it, I thought I would share my resonation with you today.

The Following post was unearthed from the succeeding site address:

No one wants war, no one wants conflict, no one wants poverty and still these exist. As fast as we try to eradicate those things that hurt us, they are replaced. As Neale Donald Walsch says “How is it possible for 7 billion on the earth to all want the same thing and to be unable to get it?”

We know that we want peace, health, harmony, friendship, abundance, a life free from excess worry, love . . . I have begun to think that knowing what we want is not as effective as focussing our intention on what we want. I know that I prefer peace to war but do I really focus on peace and intend it to happen? I can’t say that I do. I think I just hope it will happen.

When I try to focus my intention on something as large as peace, I find that picturing it in my mind is very difficult for the reason that when a formless, faceless concept is placed under a magnifying glass it can only centre on a small shred, a tiny area, and it is difficult to know what to home in on. What would be the defining picture of peace that I could focus on with the intention of bringing it into my reality? Where shall I focus my intention for peace? Do I focus on a part of the world or on personal experience? Is there a focus which will bring about peace more quickly or easily?

If all of us around the globe focussed on peace we would in all likelihood be picturing different things. And here I believe lies the crux of the dilemma. It is easy to picture war. The images are often on the television and in the newspapers. Mud splattered men standing in desolate fields, weapons at the ready – I can picture it. Now let me picture peace . . . Mmm.

When every newspaper and news programme presents us with more of what we do not want, we find it difficult to imagine what we do want and visualise it clearly with energy and vigour. It is like asking someone not to think of the colour red, which is ofcourse the first colour that will spring to mind.

And if we have difficulty envisioning peace, then what about abundance, or love?  Don’t we have the same dilemma here? Let’s not think about recession – oh dear, too late.

When I focus on peace I have decided that I am going to zoom in on a potter pottering in a shed, fashioning clay, humming along to a song on the radio, not minding whether it is sunny or raining outside just losing themselves (or is that finding themselves) in a perfect, infinite moment. One image of peace. One image, one part of a collage of peace being focussed on around the world.  Perhaps this is the beginning of a new art – zoomed in images of ordinary lives being lived in peace (or in abundance, or love ...  ) there’s a thought.

Pretty good ay & you would have noticed this lass has also written a book as well, if it’s like the many posts I have read of hers it should be worth a peak.

Envisioning:  I thought I would add my bit as well, as usual.  If you could envision looking back onto the world what would it seem like with everyone visualising their own interpretations & desires of what the world should be like, it would be quite chaotic & what does this world dominated by, chaos!!  But of course if we did this more collectively we wouldn’t manifest such chaos, religion/spirituality have tried to collectively to do this ever since the dawn of man so what’s going haywire when we desire & pray for one thing but quite the opposite keeps occurring?

A number of things are happening here, the ego for one. Even in a collective group people some people will still visualise something for their own benefit or desire which of course adds to the chaos, there is also something else that is happening here as well to do with visualisation. When we see God or an angel for example we will all envision these images differently to others to one extent or another, no wonder the world is in chaos.  I think Carolyn has nailed it here within her post; it’s all to do with our own individual visualisations, now how the heck do we get around this? It’s as simple as bursting out in laughter, instead of visualising try feeling.  Spirituality is all about feelings not visualising, visualising/envisioning is very human & most of the times our emotions & ego will distort what we are actually visualising but on the other hand feelings, once mastered, can’t be fooled by such human tendencies.

We visualise because in a logical set minded world this makes more sense to just feeling something as it’s a part of our five senses & if it’s not a part of our five sense it can’t exist but of course being spiritually aware people we know better. Don’t think for one moment you have anything to prove to anyone including yourself, this is your ego telling you this!!  The ego has its advantages but it also has its drawbacks, just be aware of this & you will do fine.
